Evening of Arts and Mexican Culinary Art
This event invites you to seduce all of your 5 senses in an evening of arts in full expressionand emphasizingthe Mexican Culinary Arts. At the same time to participate by small or large amounts with a socialcommitmentto help a weaker social section of Mexican society: children in need. This is one goal in addition to a social commitment with several projects in Holland and Mexico.
The evening will be one of visual arts, auralarts and culinary arts, and has been inspired by the gastronomic side of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.
Her passion for life and pleasure of the senses were expressed in the dinners she organized.
The evening has been organized by Regina Lerma of "La seduccion del Gusto" and BABEL[Foundation for art and cultural diversity]. We also take this opportunity to join the fight against poverty of the weakest section of Mexican society: the children. By supporting the International Foundation in the Netherlands: Children of México.
This evening will include the performances of artists with differing styles and techniques, some will be exploring electronic arts, new technologies and conceptual art while others combine and fuse the rich Mexican and Latin traditional art forms. All of the artist are of a high level and come together for the first time in Holland linked by a friendly relationships and a commitment to this social initiative of Children of Mexico and their passion for artistic creation.
This project has attracted the attention and support of institutions and companies such as the Mexican Embassy in the Netherlands, Aeromexico, the cafe restaurant "Kunsthalcafe", Laloberinto Art&Design,Baby Phat Benelux, Patrick Paludanus to name just a few. And not forgetting of course the invaluable help of volunteers and friends.
This event will take place on december the 6th, 2008 in the cafe restaurant KUNSTHAL CAFE of the Kunsthal Museum, Rotterdam.
